The Balance Project
“I think I want a circle lawn”. The best projects start with just a single launchpad such as this.
Having recently moved in to a stylish new renovation, this customer felt a bit boxed in. The circle lawn idea became the philosophy of what we wanted to achieve with the garden. Juxtapose the house with rounded edges, a meandering path, interesting borders and a sun trap seating area. All of this created to benefit the customers love of gardening.
From their front room they are now treated to a screen of beautiful colours atop their wall, creating a private haven once you ascend the steps and walk along the reclaimed red brick path. These soft edges and bulging garden beds give the customer new perspectives and views wherever they sit, even with space limited to roughly 50 square metres.
Using reclaimed brinks for the path, self binding gravel & steel edging for the seating pad, we found a way to tie the design into its surrounds whilst keeping the styling more traditional.
We returned to see the garden fully bloomed and how the owner now really has put their own stamp on everything. A truly tranquil area, perfect for long relaxing days in the sun.
